Corrections

A directory is only as useful as it is accurate, so corrections come first in the queue.

Choose "Correction to a tool profile" and pick the tool.
Say what is wrong, and link the vendor documentation or source that shows it.
An editor checks the claim against that source before changing the profile.
Confirmed corrections are applied and the profile's update date changes. Points still being checked are listed on the profile as unconfirmed.

Editorial policy

Listings are free and never paid for. Vendors cannot buy a place in a list, a better position, or an endorsement, and a correction is judged on its evidence, not on who sent it. Advertising is sold separately and labelled.

To have a tool considered for the catalog, choose "Vendor listing request". Profiles are written by the editors to one standard, including a limitations section, whether or not the vendor asks.
